Stucco Repair & Installation

Stucco is formed by blending a variety of materials, and there are many different textures and colors to choose from. The combination of materials used in stucco siding sets it apart from other types of siding, giving it a unique aesthetic.

The aggregate in stucco homes is often created with water Portland cement, sand, and lime, which gives it an aesthetic appeal, unlike other materials. Manufacturers will occasionally add synthetic ingredients, such as acrylics and glass characteristics, to the mixture to increase its structural stability.

Cracks in stucco can appear for various reasons, from insufficient mixing and poor craftsmanship to seismic movements. Deep cracks are more dangerous than hairline ones. That’s because they can provide a route for moisture and water to penetrate the structure. Moisture or water that gets into a wall will undoubtedly cause more harm.

Water getting behind stucco, for example, can weaken the material it comes into touch with, causing stucco to break away and fall off in sheets. Paint failure, wood rot, mold development, musty odor, bloated drywall, and irreversible damage can result from moisture and water trapped inside walls.

Bulging stucco, fissures, and dark streaks are no longer an issue. However, conventional stucco requires a multi-step installation technique to maintain long-term quality. At Excellence Constructions, we’ll work our magic to repair any damage to the outside of your home and have it looking brand new in no time.

Since our stucco technicians have years of expertise in Stucco installation and repair, you can trust that your stucco repair and painting will be completed correctly, providing you with the peace of mind that you deserve. Whether it is stucco hairline cracks, stucco foam trim cracks, stucco cross-patterned cracks, stucco spider cracks, or stucco diagonal line cracks, we can fix it.

It’s possible that your walls are cracking and peeling due to elements such as time and weather conditions, as well as their damaging effects. To get your stucco walls restored, all you have to do is call us. Depending on the environmental elements that the stucco has been exposed to, it should be painted every five to ten years. To prevent cracks and other damage from accumulating over time, it’s critical to paint and maintain external stucco surfaces.

Our locally-owned and managed staff will work with you to decide what stucco repairs your property need since we want to make our customer service personal. The technique we employ to repair your stucco may vary depending on the issue, but our experts will be able to analyze your requirements and provide you with a variety of choices to make your house look as good as new.

Stucco Types

Traditional Stucco – Many homeowners believe that traditional stucco walls are waterproof. But, what they don’t realize is that traditional stucco is only water-resistant, which means that moisture will infiltrate the wall even if there are no breaches in the stucco. However, if the wall is built properly, moisture does not reach the studs, insulation, or the interior of the house. Therefore there is typically no problem.

EFIS Stucco – EFIS synthetic stucco is considered a multi-layer system. The synthetic stucco itself is non-permeable, being around 1/16 of an inch thick, acting as a barrier that prevents water from passing through. Water will infiltrate the wall if it is not placed properly or if it is broken. To the untrained eye, both stucco types appear to be the same.

In actuality, whether a home’s cladding is stucco or not, none of the materials are truly waterproof, only water-resistant to varying degrees. The difference in water resistance is determined by the wall system’s design.

Choosing the Right Color

Stucco may be modified to fit any sort of existing landscaping and comes in a variety of tints and hues to complement anyone’s unique taste.

White is a popular hue that appears to be more contemporary and clean. It is available in a variety of hues and may be used with any other color to create a marble effect.

Neutral hues seem contemporary and natural, and they provide a subtle feeling of refinement to a home. They are simple, yet they have an “awe value” that can be felt no matter where you are.

Two-tone color schemes may offer a home a more personalized appearance and feel. It takes a little longer to complete, but it is well worth it in the end.
